Gifts from senseless people won’t profit you, because they look for a lot rather than a little in return.
The gift of the fool shall do thee no good: for his eyes are sevenfold.
If such a person gives you something, it won't do any good; it won't be as valuable as he thinks it is.
A gift from a fool will do you no good, for in his eyes this one gift is equal to many.
The gift of a fool will profit you nothing, [neither will that of a miser who gives solely out of obligation] for he covets to receive more than he gave.
A fool’s gift will profit you nothing, for he looks for recompense sevenfold.
